A British woman hasn't eaten in three years.

Trudy Sharp, 43, has such severe stomach problems she is only able to consume three cups of tea a day.

I'd love to sit down to a really romantic three-course meal with all the trimmings and lots of wine.

Instead of solid food, the housewife has liquid nutrients fed directly into her body at meals times.

She said: "I'd love to sit down to a really romantic three-course meal with all the trimmings and lots of wine."

Trudy - from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire - had her large and small bowel removed in 2006 following a series of complications with her digestive system.

She is currently on the transplant waiting list and is hopeful a donor will be found so she can start enjoying food again.
