Tom Cruise is to star in a new action comedy with Cameron Diaz.
The 'Valkyrie' actor has finally signed up to appear in 'Wichita' after approving the latest draft of Scott Frank's script, months after he was first linked to the project.
Tom - who previously worked with Cameron on 2001's 'Vanilla Sky' - will play a spy who begins dating a woman who has a terrible romantic history.
'Walk The Line' filmmaker James Mangold is to direct the movie, which is expected to be released in cinemas worldwide next summer.
The 'Lions For Lambs' actor also has several other projects currently in consideration.
Among them are Len Wiseman's 'Motorcade', 'The Tourist', 'The Matarese Circle', 'Lost For Words' and 'The 28th Amendment'.

Good to see Cruise doing comedy again. I loved "Valkyrie", and thought he did a great job with the role, but it will be fun watching him cut loose a bit again.
