Climbing that social ladder can be good for your blood pressure, so get to it whether at home or in work.
A new study carried out in Sweden looked at the blood pressure of 12,00 same sex twins and the social status of them and their parents.
Writing in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, they found that those born with lower socioeconomic status who then moved upwards had lower incidence of high blood pressure than those who remained in a poorer class.
High blood pressure is a known risk factor for heart disease and stroke.
Whilst some believe that moving up a class will cause more stress than before, as you attempt to 'keep-up' with those that surround you, however others believe that it will improve Health chances.
What do you think? Will it cause more stress or not?
