Eva Longoria's Old-school Glamour

Eva Longoria Parker went for the "old Hollywood glamour" look at this year's Costume Institute Gala in New York.
The 'Desperate Housewives' actress was among a host of stars at the prestigious event, held in the city's Metropolitan Museum of Art, and wowed with her pale blue Marchesa gown, which was embroidered with cream flowers.
Her stylist, Robert Verdi, said: "It's the perfect opportunity to wear a dress unexpected and more fashion-y. It was a very sophisticated dress to wear, if it were a circus act it would be juggling on a unicycle on a trapeze. I mean between the dramatic fish tail and the odd length she's tiny and with her sophisticated pose, she works it until its unemployed!
"It was very old Hollywood glamour, that look that she does really well."
Eva started searching for her perfect gown a month before Monday's (03.05.10) event but only decided which one to wear on the day itself.
Robert revealed to website hollywoodlife.com: "We looked at them about a month before and we selected two that were altered.
"Step one is choosing a designer. Step two is looking at the current collection and finding a dress no one has worn before. She had three dresses to decide between but only made her the decision between the final two the day of the event!"
However, Eva did struggle with accessories because she is so small.
He added: "Trying to find tiny shoes, and the length is always an issue for her. Even a small bag on her looks like a tote bag, if she carries a zip-lock bag it looks like a body bag!"
