Style Icon: Kate Hudson

Kate is not perhaps an obvious choice for our Style Icon this week, but the girl should be because she definitely knows how to dress and has us green with envy at her gorgeous wardrobe.

Kate split with her rocker hubby Chris Robinson, nearly two years ago and as with most women, Kate took the opportunity to be photographed everywhere she went looking absolutely stunning.

This look really wouldn't work on anybody else. Yes, the colour and the design of the dress are flawless, but who could pull it off with this much elegance? Kate keeps the rest of her look simple, with minimal make-up and a simple up-do. Our favourite look, without a doubt.

Kate's appearance at the Baftas caused a stir when she turned up in this sultry gold sequined number. Again, a look not everyone could get away with- she could of ended up looking like an extra from Strictly!

See, we told you she was fashion forward! The gorgeous Ms Hudson picked up an Elle Style Award this year as 'most stylish celeb'. She arrived at the ceremony in a stunning white wrap dress and tousled hair. We approve.

This gets our seal of approval because of the boots. Nearly 20 years after Julia Roberts made the hooker boots famous in Pretty Woman, Kate updates the look to make it sexy and chic- teaming it with an oh-so-trendy jumper dress.

When giant ruffles attack it makes the ultimate fashion statement. We're loving the electric blue ruffle, teamed with a black coat for those chilly winter nights. The new fringe is pretty cool too, Kate.
