Elizabeth Banks has had a super busy and incredibly successful 2012 already and she is back this week with her new movie People Like Us.
Directed by Alex Kurtzman, who is making his directorial debut, the movie sees her team up with Chris Pine as long lost siblings.
Banks kicked off her acting year bat in February when she starred in Man On A Ledge with Sam Worthington before returning to TV with 30 Rock.
But it was The Hunger Games that has been the huge success for the actress this year as the Suzanne Collins novel was adapted for the big screen.
Banks took on the role of Effie Trinket and underwent a huge transformation with flamboyant clothes and fantastic makeup.
The Hunger Games has been one of the biggest movies of the year as it took in excess of $686 million at the global box office.
She switched the big budget blockbuster for comedy this summer as she joined the ensemble cast of What To Expect When You're Expecting.
Banks really did steal the show as pregnant Wendy - she really has the best lines and some of the funniest scenes in the movie.
She is a mother again in the touching People Like Us that looks at the importance of family.
And as if all of these projects were not enough for one year we will also be seeing her in the all singing Pitch Perfect at the end of the year.
2012 has been a great year for the actress and 2013 looks set to be just as busy with the release of Movie 43.
Banks is part of the huge ensemble cast for the movie but she will also direct one of the segments of the film - which will the first time she has directed for a feature film.
She is currently filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, where she will reprise the role of Effie, and that is set to hit the big screen at the end of next year.
Banks is one of the most in demand actresses working in Hollywood at the moment and her career is going from strength to strength.
