Chris Hemsworth has revealed that he was 'blown away' when he saw a cut of Snow White and the Huntsman.
Hemsworth will be back on the big screen this summer as he teams up with Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart for a re-telling of Snow White.
This time around it is a much darker tale and the actor admits that he was taken in by the script and the character of the huntsman.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "Then I looked at the character and read the script and thought, 'OK, I haven't seen this version of it before.'
"He's a drunk and a mess. He's an open wound, and I thought, 'OK, this is a different entry point.
"It's kind of Lord Of The Rings on steroids. When I saw a cut of it recently, I was just blown away."
Directed by Rupert Sanders Snow White and The Huntsman is the second Snow White movie to grace the big screen this year after Mirror Mirror.
Hemsworth is having a great summer already with The Cabin In The Woods and Avengers Assemble doing well both critically and commercially.
Snow White and The Huntsman is released 1st June
