Lily Collins is to star in 'Writers'.

The 'Mirror, Mirror' actress will appear alongside Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly and Kristen Bell in the Josh Boone-directed movie.

The film tells the story of a famous novelist and the ex-wife, he's obsessed with, who will be played by Greg and Jennifer respectively.

Lily - daughter of singer Phil Collins - will play their college-aged daughter who finds herself the subject of romantic obsession courtesy of a fellow student.

'Writers' will apparently spin several interweaving stories of the various family members and other people in their lives.

Shooting starts later this month.

As well as 'Writers', Lily, 22, is also in negotiations to star in 'Romeo and Juliet' story 'Rosaline'.

She has entered talks to star in Michael Sucsy's take on the novel by Rebecca Serles, which sees the classic Shakespeare story re-told through the eyes of Romeo's spurned lover.

Lily would play Juliet in the movie and Deborah Ann Woll and Dave Franco are reportedly in negotiations to play leading roles in the film, which is set in a modern-day high school.
