Paul Giamatti Will Not Be An Action Hero

Paul Giamatti believes that he will never be an action hero.

The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the Cinderella Man, has revealed that it's his appearance that prevents him from getting the big action roles.

But Giamatti also revealed that he enjoys the wide range of different and interesting parts that he gets to play instead.

In an interview with Metro the actor said "Clearly, I don't look like Tom Cruise. The roles I get are going to fall inside a certain spectrum. I really feel I get the more interesting stuff.

"I always say, the great thing to be in the movie business is a white male character actor, because you can be bald and overweight and hairy.

"It's a huge relief, I don't have to think about my muscles and hair and all those things."

He is currently starring in Cold Souls, which has been met well by the critics. On the horizon for the actor includes Ironclad, Barney's Version and The Three Stooges.

Could Souls is released 13th November.
