Tom Hiddleston has admitted that he would like to see Loki hit 'rock bottom' in Thor 2.
Hiddleston will be returning once more to the trouble character in a second Thor movie, which is due out next year.
And the actor admits that he is interested in exploring the dark side to Loki's character throughout the forthcoming movie.
Speaking to MTV News the actor said: "I'd like to take [Loki] to his absolute rock bottom.
"I'd like to see him yield, essentially, to his darkest instincts. Then, having hit rock bottom, maybe come back up."
Hiddleston and the rest of the Avengers find themselves flying high at the top of the global box office as it has dominated cinemas in it's opening weekend.
The movie took just over £15 million in the UK alone over the weekend and it is set to opening in the U.S. on Friday.
Thor 2 will see Hiddleston once again reunite with Chris Hemsworth but Alan Taylor will take over the helm from Kenneth Branagh.
