Sarah McLachlin splits from husband

Sarah McLachlin is splitting from her husband of 11 years Ashwin Sood - who is also the drummer in her band.The Canadian star had no intention of announcing the split, but realised she couldn't hide their separation - as two songs on her upcoming album detail her heartbreak.She says, "I'm separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that. I wasn't planning on saying anything but it's gonna come out at some point. I haven't said anything about it because I've been terrified to, but I figure... there's no good time to say it, so I just said it."U Want Me 2 and Don't Give Up On Us will feature on her forthcoming greatest hits LP Closer: The Best of Sarah McLachlan. The couple - who have two daughters, Ann Sushil, six, and Taja Summer, 14 months - have not elaborated on reasons for their separation.
