Elton John Axes Concerts Due to Food Poisoning

Elton John was forced to axe two concerts in Las Vegas at the weekend(17-19Feb12) after suffering a bout of food poisoning.

The Rocket Man hitmaker was due to take the stage at Sin City's Caesar's Palace on Friday (17Feb12), but he fell ill shortly before the gig and subsequently cancelled his performance.

Sir Elton scrapped another Vegas concert on Saturday (18Feb12) to allowhim time to make a full recovery and now the singer's representative tells TMZ.com he's feeling "much better".

The veteran entertainer will jet to Mexico later this week (begs20Feb12) for a Friday night (24Feb12) show in Guadalajara.
