Coronation Street's Sophie Webster is to embark on a passionate romance with newcomer Jenna Kamara.
The soap's lovable lesbian will be helped back on her feet after Wednesday's (24.10.12) horrific car crash by Jenna, who was recently unveiled as Lloyd Mullaney's secret daughter, but the pair quickly develop feelings for each other despite their 10-year age gap.
Jenna - played by Krissi Bohn, 29 - will risk her entire career by beginning a relationship with Brooke Vincent's character and to make things more difficult Jenna's family are unaware of her sexual orientation.
An insider revealed: "She's breaking a serious moral code by getting involved with Sophie.
"Sophie is in a very vulnerable position following the car accident. If Jenna's bosses find out they could end her career.
"If that wasn't enough, Jenna hasn't come out to her parents. So they may have all these feelings for each other but they are going to have to weigh up whether it's worth the chaos."
The complications don't end there though, as a further twist sees Sophie's dad Kevin (Michael Le Vell, 47) also develop a crush on Jenna, making the pair feel uncomfortable with his flirting.
Brooke Vincent revealed to the Daily Star newspaper earlier this week that she was to embark on a new romance but remained quiet on who with, saying: "I can't reveal whether her relationship will be with a new character or an existing member of the street but it will be with another girl."
