David Walliams is in talks to join Jonathan Ross on new twitter themed TV show 'Trending Topics'.

The 'Little Britain' funnyman will shoot a pilot with the chat show host - whose company, Hotsauce TV, will produce the new series - next month, and it is hoped the programme will be aired on ITV1 later this year.

Comedians Andi Osho and Jon Richardson will also join the duo on the planned show, which will see a panel discuss the biggest twitter themes of the week, The Sun newspaper reports.

David is currently working on 'Britain's Got Talent' alongside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden and has already caused a stir during the audition stage of the ITV1 show with his outrageous comments, prompting bosses to tell him to tone down his lewd humour.

A source recently said: "A lot of Walliams' comments need editing out. It certainly can't go on for the rest of filming. If we don't get clean comments, that act won't get a big showing.

"It's a learning curve. He was very funny but we need him to be more family-friendly. But we're still confident we made the right choice."
