Matthew Wolfenden will celebrate his 'Dancing On Ice' win with two MRI scans.
The 'Emmerdale' actor and his skating partner Nina Ulanov skated to victory on Sunday's (25.03.12) final of the ITV1 show but Matthew revealed the rigorous training has left him with such bad injuries that he has had to soak his feet in ice every day for weeks.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I've bust both my tendons in my ankles. I've had my feet in a bucket of ice every day for weeks to take the pain down.
"I can't lift my right arm properly so I'm going for an MRI scan today (27.03.12). I think it's to do with my rotator cuff.
"Then when I have the MRI scan on my shoulder, I need to have one on my knee too because when I dropped Nina out of the headbanger in training, I landed on my knee and I've ripped all the bits in the back of it. My back and wrist hurts from the lifts and I've done my groin in."
Matthew also claimed his injuries are so bad that if the competition had lasted one more week he may not have won.
He explained: "I don't think I'd have coped with the lifts if we'd had one more week to go. If the final had been next week then I think we'd have had all the lifts taken out."
