Rita Ora has been invited back to the 'X Factor' auditions.
The 'R.I.P.' singer was a hit with contestants and regular panelists Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh when she was a guest judge yesterday (28.05.12) and is now tipped to land the vacant judging slot after being asked to return to the panel today (29.05.12).
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Rita did brilliantly despite only having two hours sleep because she played with Coldplay in Switzerland the night before.
"By December, she could be a bigger star so picking her now could be a masterstroke."
If Rita is picked for the panel, it is a choice that would be backed by Tulisa.
The N-Dubz star said: "Rita is great for the panel. Despite just breaking the commercial scene, she's been in the industry for years and knows what she's talking about."
Rita will join the judges at London's the O2 this morning, while Nicole Scherzinger will take over this afternoon.
News of the 21-year-old singer's success will come as a blow to Geri Halliwell, who had been hotly tipped for the fourth judges' spot.
However, she failed to impress at last week's Liverpool auditions and show bosses are said to have ruled out the former Spice Girls star joining the programme permanently.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Geri had a lot of energy and tried her hardest to make an impression.
"But you need chemistry with the other judges in spades if you are going to join the panel full time."
