'Britain's Got Talent' favourite Sam Kelly may have to pull out of the show.

The 19-year-old singer - who wowed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams during the audition stages with his version of Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love' - broke four ribs while playing football and is now worried he may not have recovered in time for the live shows in two weeks time.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Sam has been told to rest and take it easy. Everyone on the show is hoping he is going to be OK to continue.

"But he is a determined lad and has told producers he will be there even if he is wincing in pain. He is just glad that he isn't a dancer or a variety act as he would have been out of the show for sure.

"At least with singing he can just sit there and let his voice take the strain."

Sam previously revealed his audition was inspired by a cheating former girlfriend.

He said: "I am currently single, my last girlfriend cheated on me. She is not a very nice person actually, so it is probably a good thing.

"It is quite a while ago but the keen sting of that still hasn't gone away."
