Actor Gene Wilder has confessed cancer taught him to live life to the full.
The 70-year-old - who survived lymphoma himself, but lost wife Gilda Radner to the illness - revealed: "I have learned that I don't have to act if I don't want to."Also, the time you wasted, when you were younger, thinking: 'I'd like to do this or that - but do I have the courage?' Well, what cancer does is, it jumps you ahead".He added in an interview with Britain's The Independent Sunday Review: "It's as though you have died, and you are looking down at the earth. At which point you say: 'Schmuck. What were you worried about?' If you want to do it, do it. If you don't, don't. That way you will be happy"
