To celebrate the summer holidays, Kent Life are offering two lucky winners a family day pass to enjoy a fun filled day out.
Kent Life is a 28-acre working farm and visitor attraction situated in Maidstone, Kent. Open throughout the year, Kent Life tells the Kent farming story and provides a fun family day out discovering more than 200 farmyard animals, indoor and outdoor play areas, and Kentish gardens and orchards. Visitors can step back in time to experience Kent’s farming heritage in the Vintage Village, which is made up of reconstructions of original rural Kent buildings that have been re-built brick by brick.
Visitors will be able to explore the wide range of summer activities now available at the farm, from animal encounters to paddle boating and exciting shows, families can enjoy everything that nature brings, while also learning about Kent’s intriguing farming heritage. Big Top Show
The all-weather indoor Big Top arena plays host to a variety of interactive and exciting shows throughout the year, and this summer is no exception. Take a look at the show-stopping line-up below:
Animal Encounters: 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd August
Get the chance to meet some unique and mysterious creatures up close and personal. Friendly and informative, our animal shows make learning fun!
Adam & Leanne: 2nd – 6th August
Providing three different shows a day, join Adam & Leanne for either a fun magic show, interactive story time or costume character party dances.
Borris and Norris: 9th – 13th August and 23rd – 31st August
Local pantomime legends Tom Swift and Ant Payne bring chaos to the Big Top this summer as they present “Borris and Norris’ magic lab”. With magic, games and interactive fun, it’s set to be a crazy summer show for the whole family.
Flip’s Dragon and Unicorn Show: 16th – 20th August
Join us for a fabulous puppets and magic show where you will meet Dudley the Dragon and Merlin the Magic Unicorn. These spectacular puppets will amaze and enchant you and your children with their silly sense of humour and interactive magic performed with the help of the whole audience.
All shows run daily at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm, do not need to be pre booked and are included in the admission price.
Brand new for this year, hand powered paddle boats are sure to hit the spot on those hot sunny days this summer.
Kent Life showcase and breed lots of friendly farm animals. Kids can say hello to sheep, pigs, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese and even alpacas! Take a walk through our cuddle corner to meet some of the smaller farmyard friends.
Kids won’t be short of getting some good old fresh air at Kent Life, with outdoor play areas to run wild in and pedal tractor rides to burn off steam and explore the grounds.
Be prepared for the inevitable wet days we have here in Kent and visit the Indoor Playbarn where children can run, jump, slip and slide in the three-floor soft play area.
Kent Owl Academy
Currently home to 12 owls, Kent Life visitors can see these beautiful creatures during usual opening hours through a selection of fabulous live shows. You can also meet the meerkat family, Shilo and Jessie, and their children Fuggle and Goldie.
Opening hours for Kent Life this summer holidays are 10am – 5pm (last admission 4pm). Please ensure tickets and entry time are booked online in advance (including members).
Ticket prices: Adults: £10, Child: (aged 3-15) £9, Concession: £9, Family: (2+2) £35.

Kent Life are so happy to welcome families back to the farm, and the staff have been working hard behind the scenes to put new measures and procedures in place to keep everyone safe. We have had to introduce various restriction and hygiene policies for each of our visitors to follow, so please do read through the guidance notes online to stay up to date and to help plan your visit.
