Nelson Mandela has been released from hospital after undergoing a stomach operation at the weekend (25-26Feb12).
The former South African president checked into a medical centre on Saturday (25Feb12) for an investigative laparoscopy camera probe following complaints of persistent abdominal pain.
And on Sunday (26Feb12) the 93-year-old anti-apartheid leader was discharged and is now resting comfortably at his home in Johannesburg.
Affectionately referring to the the icon by his nickname Madiba, current President Jacob Zuma tells Cnn, "The doctors have assured us that there is nothing to worry about and that Madiba is in good health".
Mandela, who made his last public appearance at his country's World Cupin July, 2010, has been plagued by recent health problems - he was hospitalised last year (Jan11) for an acute respiratory infection.
