She has made a significant contribution to the cultural life of Wales and raised Wales' profile within the arts industry worldwide
The Chicago star, who has had no formal acting training, was made an honorary fellow of The Royal College of Music and Drama in Cardiff on Friday (05Jul13) in recognition of her work on stage and screen.
Principal Hilary Boulding said, "We're delighted to honour this distinguished artist who has achieved international distinction in her field. She has made a significant contribution to the cultural life of Wales and raised Wales' profile within the arts industry worldwide".
