Harper Lee

Acclaimed author Harper Lee has settled a lawsuit against bosses of a museum in her hometown in Alabama.

The To Kill A Mockingbird writer took action last year  over the sale of souvenirs featuring her name at the Monroe County Heritage Museum in Monroeville.

She complained the facility was using her moniker and the title of her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel without permission, but on Tuesday the legal action was settled when the writer reached an agreement with museum bosses.

Details of the settlement have not been revealed.

The lawsuit is not the only legal action Lee has been embroiled in recently - in September she reached a court settlement with the son-in-law of her former literary agent after alleging he tried to dupe her into signing over the copyright for her classic novel.
