Activision has created a Spyro drone to mark the release of 'Spyro Reignited Trilogy'.
The publishing company - which is owned by Activision Blizzard - has managed to create the first ever, fire-breathing and talking drone of the titular purple dragon, which is currently soaring across the United States to commemorate the upcoming video game launch of the remastered trilogy of titles on November 13.
On Tuesday (30.10.18) the life-size drone began its journey near New York City, and will now embark on a tour of the cities and iconic landscapes across the country that have a striking resemblance to what fans will immediately recognise as iconic levels and themes from the game trilogy.
Michelle Fonseca, Senior Product and Marketing Director, Activision, said: "We can't wait for fans to see this awesome fire-breathing and talking Spyro drone and encourage everyone to have their phones ready to catch Spyro on his journey. Spyro the Dragon is such a pop culture classic and we're thrilled to bring this beloved character to fans for the launch of the newly remastered series, 'Spyro Reignited Trilogy'."
During the tour, Spyro will connect with another icon, when the drone delivers an early copy of the trilogy set to entertainment mogul Snoop Dogg.
The Spyro drone - which is connected to social media - will then share Instagram stories, tweets and posts of the two legends catching up on the drone's social media channels.
'Spyro Reignited Trilogy' is a gaming collection made out of the three games that started the Spyro franchise - 'Spyro the Dragon', 'Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!', and 'Spyro: Year of the Dragon'.
The remastered HD collection will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One devices from November 13.
