BioWare have teased a Dragon Age announcement will be coming soon.
The franchise of dark fantasy role-playing video games has been quite since the release of 2014's 'Dragon Age: Inquisition', but that could be set to change soon as developers at BioWare have said the company is preparing to say more about its plans for the series sometime in December.
On the BioWare blog, developer Casey Hudson said: "If you've been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we're also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we're excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won't tell you where to look...)"
The reference to the coming month is December, during which the biggest game event is the annual Game Awards, where there are also several debuts and announcements set to take place alongside the accolades.
A new Dragon Age would be the first game in the series to be made exclusively for the new generation of consoles.
Meanwhile, Casey previously spoke about a new Dragon Age game in January, when he addressed concerns over "live" elements such as microtransactions.
He tweeted at the time: "Reading lots of feedback regarding Dragon Age, and I think you'll be relieved to see what the team is working on. Story & character focused.
"Too early to talk details, but when we talk about "live" it just means designing a game for continued storytelling after the main story."
