Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb announced on Twitter on Thursday (18.08.16) that the 2010 Xbox Live video game, developed by Backbone Entertainment, is coming to the platform on the next generation console.

Larry tweeted: "Bomberman Battlefest is coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility."

He also posted a link to his 'Major Nelson' blog - named after his gamer tag - which gives gamers an up-to-date list of the available games.

'Bomberman Live: Battlefest' sees players - working solo or teaming up with seven other people - use bombs to vanquish their foes in a dozen arenas and modes like Capture the Flag and Paintbomb.

The Xbox One's backward compatibility feature was launched in November 2015 and has been a success - and earlier this week company bosses said users have collectively spent 145 million hours playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.

And there is now more than 230 games in Xbox One's backward compatibility line up.
