'Death Stranding' is not listed as a PS4 exclusive, leading to speculation it could arrive on PC.
Hideo Kojima's much-anticipated game is due to be released on November 8, 2019, on the console, but it has been pointed out that the tile is no longer appearing on PlayStation.com as an exclusive.
This has lead to many believing that a future release for computers could be on the cards.
Antonio Fucito, who correctly leaked the game's release date in May previously predicted a PC release will be announced "at a later date".
He said: "The PS4 cover didn't have the 'Only on PS' label because DS it's coming to PC at a later date, that's the deal signed between Kojima and Sony, the game will be a timed PS4 exclusive and will be available on PC later on (won't be available on Xbox), I don't know if it's a 6 or 12 months exclusive."
Hideo previously insisted the game is the start of a "totally brand new" genre.
The man behind the beloved 'Metal Gear Solid' series shrugged off comparisons to his previous games.
He tweeted: "DS is not a stealth game. Could move subjectively but not a FPS shooting game either.
"By incorporating with the concept of connection (strand), it's totally brand new genre called action game/strand game (social strand system)."
