Drake has invested in a gaming brand.
The Canadian rap star and the entertainment mogul Scooter Braun have opted to invest an undisclosed sum of money into the ESports brand '100 Thieves'.
Matthew 'Nadeshot' Haag - one of the founders of the company - said in a statement: "With Drake and Scooter's support, we're going to build a lasting brand on the back of the content and apparel that our fans have come to love, aggressively expand into more games, scale our apparel business, and build a world-class management team."
Drake, 32, will serve as a strategic adviser for the firm.
Earlier this year, meanwhile, the chart-topping rap star broke the streaming record for the video games industry.
Drake joined the streaming video-game platform Twitch and his live stream attracted a jaw-dropping 628,000 viewers.
Following the record-breaking feat, Kate Jhaveri, Twitch's senior vice-president for marketing, said: "Seeing a top gamer and musician come together on Twitch and unite their large and passionate communities is a cultural moment in terms of building awareness around the appeal of social video and it's only going to grow from here."
