'God of War' has won the Game of the Year accolade at The Game Awards 2018.
The action-adventure video game - which was released earlier this year - has won the coveted gong at the awards ceremony, which celebrates the best of the industry over a 12-month spell.
The heralded title also scooped the awards for Best Direction and Best Action-Adventure.
However, it was 'Red Dead Redemption 2' that actually claimed the most awards at the ceremony.
The money-spinning Western title won four gongs in total, including Best narrative, Best Performance for Roger Clarke, Best Music for Woody Jackson and Daniel Lanois' score, and Best Audio.
Elsewhere, 'Celeste' won the Best Independent Game and the Game for Impact gongs, while 'Fortnite' - the hugely popular online video game - won the Best ongoing game and Best Multiplayer Game awards.
The annual awards bash is organised and hosted by Geoff Keighley, and has quickly become one of the industry's most important events.
Each year, a panel of international media is tasked with deciding on the shortlists for each award, with the eventual winner being decided by a fusion of critic input and a public vote.
