'Halo Infinite' has been officially confirmed for July's Xbox Series X event.
The highly anticipated game - which will launch alongside the next generation console later this year - will be included in this summer's 'Xbox 20/20' presentation showcasing upcoming first party titles for the new system.
In the latest Community Update on Halo Waypoint, developer 343 Industries confirmed the exciting news after speculation about the upcoming event.
The studio said: "You may have seen people talking about this lightly before, but we're extremely excited to confirm that 'Halo Infinite' will be one of many first-party titles included in the 'Xbox 20/20' event in July.
Meanwhile, Xbox executive Aaron Greenberg had recently called for some "patience" from fans regarding the game after a Twitter follower asked last week about a possible Xbox 20/20 event.
At that point, Microsoft had just released one full trailer for the upcoming title, with gamers desperate to learn more about what the team has planned.
Greenberg wrote: "Know that I meet with Halo team every week. They are working incredibly hard for their fans trust me.
"Just give us a little patience as everyone is WFH right now and dealing with a lot so everything is harder. But team is cooking up some [fire]"
