'Kingdom Hearts III' will feature 20 mini games.
The hugely popular action role-playing franchise which brings together characters from Square Enix and Disney is set to get its long awaited third instalment later this year, and although very little is known about the game, a newly released trailer for the title's range of mini games has allowed fans a small glimpse of the game play.
The mini games, named 'Classic Kingdom', will be discovered and unlocked throughout the game's main story, and will then become available to play on the LCD gaming system owned by main character Sora.
Some of the mini games will be made available on the 2015 mobile version of the game, 'Kingdom Hearts Union X', ahead of the main game's release.
The mini games were revealed in a trailer which was first aired at a fan meeting in Anaheim, California, before being put up on YouTube.
A description for the video read: "Originally aired at KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross] Dandelion Meeting, this trailer reveals the new mini-games inspired by classic Disney cartoons and 1980's LCD games that will be available to play in KINGDOM HEARTS III. (sic)"
The games take the form of classic black and white 2D pixelated games, and the trailer showcases three of these games, entitled 'The Barnyard Battle', 'The Karnival Kid', and 'Giantland'.
As of the time of writing, it is not yet known what playing these games in 'Kingdom Hearts III' will give the player, or exactly how they are unlocked.
'Kingdom Hearts III' is yet to have been given a release date, although it has been slated for release this year.
