The new PlayStation 4 update has expanded the party chat size.
As part of the console's next big firmware update - v7.00, which arrives this week - Sony has given the feature a boost by doubling its numbers to 16 people.
As reported by Eurogamer, the patch has also seen the company improve both audio quality and network connectivity while users in the US will be able to use an optional speech-to-text system called Chat Transcription.
There's no news on when other countries can expect the feature, but all smartphones and tablets - with Android 5.0 or higher - will support Remote Play, providing the user has the app from Google Play.
Meanwhile, users can also connect the DualShock 4 controller to an Android 10+ or iOS 13 device.
The new 7.00 firmware launches worldwide this week.
