'Red Dead Redemption 2' will "redefine" the gaming industry.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is convinced that the upcoming sequel to 2010's Western-themed action-adventure video game will change the industry as we know it.
Speaking at an earnings call, Zelnick said: "It will be yet another creative milestone [for the company] and will redefine our industry and captivate audiences around the world."
Whilst the company added in a statement: "Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar Games' first title developed from the ground up for the current console generation. We could not be more excited about the upcoming launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, which is poised to be another massive entertainment event."
Meanwhile, Zelnick previously insisted 'Red Dead Redemption 2' is not expected to sell as well as 'Grand Theft Auto V', which sold a staggering 95 million units of the game they put out in 2013.
He said: "It's hard to expect anything to perform as well as the most profitable entertainment product of all time. I don't think that's a realistic expectation. Our hope, and also belief, is that 'Red Dead Redemption 2' will be an extraordinary creative product and that it will do incredibly well. Beyond that I can't say - I don't think anyone can say. We have to release it and see what consumers think."
