'World War Z' has shifted over a million copies in ts opening week.
After being delayed last year, Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive's adaptation of the sci-fi thriller, which starred Brad Pitt as investigator Gerry Lane, has certainly proved popular and exceeded expectations with a successful launch last week on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch commented: "Saber is extremely thrilled by the performance of the game on all platforms. On the PC specifically, we are performing way above expectations thanks to the support we have received from the Epic Games Store.
"Moving forward, we'll continue to work on growing the game and its community with new improvements, stability updates and bonus gameplay content, beginning very soon with a special new mission for the Tokyo episode."
A description for the game reads: "'World War Z' is a thrilling four-player cooperative third-person shooter featuring massive swarms of zombies that recklessly rush their living prey.

The original movie followed Pitt's character and his family get caught up in a virus spreads through the city turning ordinary people into monsters.
Gerry is determined to put an end to the pandemic and restore peace once and for all.
