Green Lantern has toppled Kung Fu Panda 2 from the top of the U.K box office after just a single week in the #1 spot.
Ryan Reynolds leads the cast in the DC Comic adaptation, which is directed by Martin Campbell.
Despite mixed reviews from the critics the movie grossed £2.4 million to just edge the animation movie from the top spot.
Kung Fu Panda 2 fell just a single place as it took a further £2.2 million in it's second week on general release.
Bad Teacher saw a return to the box office for Cameron Diaz as the comedy was a second new entry inside the top five at three.
And it was a good week for the top five all round this week as all five movies broke the £1 million barrier.
The Hangover Part II was down two places at number four while there was also a two place fall for another former #1 movie X-Men: First Class - down from three to five.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides fell out of the top five as it was down at six - the movie has now grossed in excess of $952 million worldwide and is closing in on that $1 billion mark.
Senna held firm at seven while Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules fell two places from six to eight.
Potiche was the third and final new entry at nine while Honey 2 was the biggest faller this week as it dropped five places from five to ten.
