Robert Pattinson believes that he would be too old to play Edward Cullen if any future Twilight movies were to be made.
The actor is set to leave the role of Edward behind at the end of this year when Breaking Dawn - Part 2 brings the curtain down on the popular franchise.
But should Stephanie Meyer pen any more novels he believes that they may have to find a young star - joking he is already too old to play the character.
Speaking to the New York Daily News the actor said: "I'd be curious what she would write, but I just think I'd probably be too old by the time (they did it).
"I'm already too old. But yeah, it'd be kind of interesting."
We will be seeing Pattinson return to the big screen next month with new movie Bel Ami - a very diff rent role for the actor.
The movie is an adaptation of the novel of the same name and sees the actor team up with Christina Ricci, Kristen Scott Thomas and Uma Thurman.
