Take That star Gary Barlow has spoken of his pride after landing the headlining slot for a special show honouring Team Great Britain's participation in the upcoming Olympics.
The singer, along with former Spice Girls star Melanie Chisholm and classical tenor Alfie Boe, will take to the stage for the gig - dubbed Our Greatest Team Rises - at London's Royal Albert Hall in May (12) to mark this summer's sporting event in the U.K. He says, "I'm absolutely delighted to be involved with the event as it will play such a crucial role in providing our athletes with the best preparation, from training camps to medical and logistical support for the London 2012 Games. This is the moment for the entire nation to rise up andunite in its support for Our Greatest Team".
Meanwhile, Chisholm has been unveiled as the "Artist Chair" for Party to 2012, the official series of events taking place in association with Team GB.
She's taken on the responsibility of rallying big British names tosupport the team.
