Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor has denied his shock solo album means the end of the band.'Rubbed Out' was given a limited release last week, with few being aware of its existence, but the singer insists it was better to bring the songs out away from the band rather than letting the material go to waste. He told NME.com: "I just made it, there wasn't any thinking behind it really. It doesn't mean anything in terms of what's happening with Hot Chip."I thought instead of burying it, it would be better to just release it. We've got a whole load of material that doesn't make sense as Hot Chip music. It's a very personal record."'Rubbed Out' is available online now but no CD release information has yet been given.
