"It's probably one of my favourite things that I get to do for my job"
Selena Gomez made a young fan's day on Thursday by surprising her at a New York City ice-cream parlour as part of the Make-A-Wish programme.
Frehley Gilmore, who was diagnosed with cancer last year and underwent successful surgery to remove a tumour from her brain, has been dreaming of a meeting with the Who Says singer for years.
The 10 year old and her family were flown to the Big Apple on an all-expenses paid vacation to celebrate her recovery, courtesy of the children's charity, and during the trip they stopped by dessert hot spot Serendipity 3, where Justin Bieber's onoff girlfriend was awaiting her arrival.
Their meeting was captured by TV cameras for U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America and the two girls chatted over ice-cream.
Gomez, who also posed for pictures with Gilmore and her family, said, "It's probably one of my favourite things that I get to do for my job".
