The Spice Girls have hinted they may be happy to embark on a reunion tour following their London 2012 Olympics show.

Can I just say, I love my girls. I loved them before but I love them even more now. I had so much fun.

The group took to the stage at the closing ceremony of the Games on Sunday and were so excited following the gig, they may consider another tour.

After performing their hits Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life at the concert, bandmember Melanie Brown expressed her delight, telling Britain's Heart FM radio station, "Can I just say, I love my girls. I loved them before but I love them even more now. I had so much fun. None of us fell over! Why don't we set up a petition and get us back on tour?"

Her bandmate Victoria Beckham added, "We've got some amazing fans out there who have been with us from the start. This is for all of you guys".

The group originally split in 2001 before reuniting for a world tour and the release of a greatest hits album in 2007.

They then went their separate ways again in 2008 before reuniting for the one-off Olympics performance.
