Thank you for the prayers and support during this time, Chance, the CTR team and family deeply appreciate it
Chance the Rapper was forced to cancel his final set at the 2014 Coachella Music Festival on Sunday afternoon (20Apr14) after checking in to the hospital.
The 21-year-old MC was scheduled to perform on the final day of the Indio, California event, but an hour before his gig, his managers took to his Facebook.com page to announce the cancellation.
They wrote, "On behalf of Chance and our entire team - We sincerely regret to have to cancel our 2nd weekend at Coachella. "Chance fell ill on Friday night and was admitted to the hospital today - Doctors and family are with him and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Thank you for the prayers and support during this time, Chance, the CTR team and family deeply appreciate it". Although the nature of his illness has not been disclosed, the rising rapper took to Twitter.com on Friday night (18Apr14) and told followers he wasn't feeling well following a concert in Las Vegas. He also posted a photo of himself sitting in a hospital bed early on Sunday, but the image was later taken down. Chance wowed the crowd last weekend (13Apr14), when he surprised the audience by introducing pal Justin Bieber during his set. The stars performed their collaborative hit Confident.
