A representative for SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has confirmed the rocker was briefly hospitalised after falling ill with a virus in Japan this week (beg19May14).
The former Beatle checked into a Tokyo medical centre after cancelling a series of shows in Japan and his first in South Korea but he has since been released and is recovering from his health scare.
In a statement to Billboard, his rep says, "He will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days rest".
McCartney hopes to be in good health when his Out There world tour resumes in Texas on 14 June (14).
