Sir Cliff Richard

I'll be 73 this year and I've never had a great memory! As long as I keep fit and keep my wits about me I'll be fine. By the time my mum was 73, she already had symptoms that were quite obvious"

Cliff Richards fears he is set to develop dementia and has already undergone tests for the disease.

The 'Living Doll' hitmaker's mother Dorothy suffered from the illness prior to passing away in 2007, and the singer volunteered for testing at a health clinic after learning the condition could be hereditary.

He tells Britain's Daily Mail, "(The doctor) explained that the cause is often to do with the brain cells dying off, and sometimes it's because the blood hasn't got to the brain clearly enough. So I said, 'OK, I want a scan to check whether I have cholesterol, whether the blood is flowing freely to the brain.' And it was. "So I said to her, 'I don't see why I should worry about it.'
