Emeli Sande is recording a song for the soundtrack to 'Trance'.
The BRIT-award winning singer is joining forces with musician Rick Smith of electronic group Underworld - who she worked with on Danny Boyle's opening ceremony to the 2012 London Olympic Games - to write a track for Danny Boyle's upcoming thriller.
While Rick is composing the entire score for the album, Emeli will lend her vocals to his song 'Here It Comes'.
She said: "It was wonderful to work with Rick again after the amazing time I had with him putting together the track for the Opening Ceremony.
"I was honoured to be asked to collaborate with him again for the film and, with his help, I believe we have created something very special."
The director has previously used the music of Underworld - Rick, Darren Price and Karl Hyde - when the band contributed to his films 'Trainspotting' and 'The Beach'.
Rick is also thrilled to be working with Danny and Emeli again and thinks their collaboration will create the "perfect" score.
He said: "For a film composer, working with Danny is a joy, because he's both a great collaborator and a giver of artistic freedom, he loves to be surprised, and also wants his film music loud and with presence, almost like another character - for me this is creatively exciting and inspiring.
"And it was a real joy to work with Emeli again - her passionate soulful voice and wonderful lyrics are a perfect ingredient of the score."
The 'Trance' soundtrack album is released on March 25 by Universal and the film opens in the UK on March 27.
