Paloma Faith once gave her support act a pineapple as a present.

Singer Josephine was handed the fruity treat by the eccentric singer after they had played a show together in Dublin, Ireland.

Josephine told BANG Showbiz: "She gave me a pineapple. What can I say, its Paloma. She gave it to me on one of the first days of the tour. We were having a bit of an aftershow party, and just as everybody was getting ready to leave she came up and was like 'Oh Jospehine, do you want a pineapple?' So I was like, 'OK then, I'll take a pineapple.' It was delicious."

Josephine - full name Josephine Oniyama - has been singing and touring for years with musicians including Michael Kiwanuka and Paolo Nutini, and says the best gift she's been given by another musician was a clock.

She added: "I once was give a really nice clock from Roger McGuinn from The Byrds.

"He is really into gadgetry and its one of these special ones you never have to set, that tells the time itself by Greenwich Meantime. It was a very useful gift. "

Josephine released her debut album, 'Portrait', in 2012 but says she perfected the songs for it over a number of years.

She explained: "I've been working on it for the past five, six, possibly up to eight years actually. I've been writing for a long time so when it came to picking songs for the album, we ended picking some that were from quite a while ago as well as new songs."

Josephine will perform a special showcase for Music Unlimited from Sony Entertainment Network with Wild Swim and Duologue as well as house music innovators, Futureboogie at Red Bull Studios on 22 February.
