Bayern Munich have been warned that Man City could sign Kingsley Coman from Juventus if they don't exercise their purchase option soon.
City boss Pep Guardiola was a big fan of the young french forward during his time in charge at the Allianz Arena and there are growing rumours in Germany and Spain that suggest the duo could be reunited in the future.
Coman, 20, has started in four of Bayern's seven Bundesliga matches this term but has not made the starting line-up for either of their Champions League group games.
He was in all 12 of Guardiola's matchday squads in European competition last season, starting four times and coming off the bench in four more - appearing in all of Bayern's quarter-final and semi-final legs.
New coach Carlo Ancelotti does not seem to have the same devotion to young talent as his predecessor and that could be to the benefit of City.
Spanish newspaper Sport claim City officials have already contacted Juventus to make them aware of their interest in the France international, who is on a two-year loan deal with Bayern.
The Munich club still have plenty of time to take up the £17.9m purchase option that was agreed last year, but reports in Germany state there is a 'growing feeling' at Bayern that the figure is too high.
