Bournemouth are reportedly on the trail of Guangzhou R&F midfielder Eran Zahavi despite him only making the move to China this summer.

According to speculation in the Italian press, the Cherries having taken an interest in the former Palermo and Maccabi Tel Aviv man, who is thought to be keen on a move to England after speaking to the south coast club.

However, if Eddie Howe is interested, he could find it hard to prise the 29-year-old away from Guangzhou R&F, who paid around $8million to sign him from Maccabi in June.

Zahavi's current wage package could be tough to match as well given he penned a lucrative two-year deal when joining, but he could be willing to take a pay cut to play in the Premier League.
