Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will make another attempt to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata in January, reports have claimed.
Conte was keen to strike a deal for the Spain international in the summer, but Real counterpart Zinedine Zidane decided to keep hold after re-signing him from Juventus.
However Morata has mainly had to settle for a place on the bench and Conte believes there is a decent chance Real could decide to cash in when the transfer window opens.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are all ahead of Morata in the pecking order, and the player would no doubt be interested in a switch to Chelsea if things did not improve.
Conte snapped up Michy Batshuayi for £33m from Marseille in the summer, but the 23-year-old has only registered one goal for Chelsea in five appearances and has been linked with a loan move back to his former club.
A new striker is high on Conte's wanted list and Morata appears to be his top target.
