Everton were one of several clubs to a send a scout to check on in-form Nordsjaelland striker Marcus Ingvartsen on Sunday.
The 20-year-old has grabbed the headlines in Denmark this season by netting seven goals in 13 Superliga appearances, prompting Everton to check on his progress.
The Toffees were not alone in having a representative in attendance at Nordsjaelland's 1-1 draw with Brondby as scouts from Milan, Juventus, PSV Eindhoven, Nice, Werder Bremen and Club Brugge were also believed to be there.
While Ingvartsen was unable to add to his tally, he did provide the assist for Nordsjaelland's goal.
With Nordsjaelland struggling down in ninth place in the Superliga, Ingvartsen has indicated he would jump at the chance to move abroad, although he is unsure whether a move will come as soon as January.
"It's definitely my goal to go abroad at some point, but it is now difficult to say when it will happen," he told Ekstra Bladet. "I need to focus on to perform on the field."
