Middlesbrough target Victor Lindelof reportedly has new admirers with Inter, Juve and Liverpool also now interested in the Benfica man.
Boro nearly signed the defender in the summer and thought they had wrapped up a deal that would have seen him join in January.
However, the agreement fell through and Lindelof has since gone on to impress for Benfica, filling in expertly at centre-back following an injury to Lisandro Lopez.
Boro were one of several clubs who had scouts present at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon as Benfica beat Feirense 4-0 on Sunday, but they look like having a real fight on their hands to land him in the new year as reports in Portugal now claim Italian giants Juve and Inter are also watching him, alongside Boro's Premier League rivals Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, as well as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
Aitor Karanka will continue to monitor the Sweden international but, with the level of interest in him shooting up in the first part of the season, his price-tag is also set to rise and Boro may end up missing out on a player they had reached an agreement with in the summer to join before Benfica pulled the plug on the deal.
