Former Hull boss Steve Bruce is already being linked with a swoop for Ahmed Elmohamady if, as expected, he takes charge at Aston Villa.
Bruce is the hot favourite to replace Roberto Di Matteo at Villa Park, and reports are already rife in the Midlands press suggesting that he will raid the KCOM Stadium when he is confirmed.
All deals will of course be on hold until the transfer window re-opens in January, but reports claim that Elmohamady will be one of his top targets when it does.
Bruce signed the Egyptian winger for both Sunderland and Hull, and it comes as no surprise to see reports linking the player with a move to Villa as well.
Hull will also be bracing themselves for Bruce targeting members of the Tigers backroom team, who have remained at the club since he left, but will be wanted at Villa.
Meanwhile, Abel Hernandez is likely to be another target after Villa were heavily linked in the summer.
